PTO Newsletter – December 2012

Dear Willard Central Community,

I hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving Break! Now it’s time to get ready for Christmas since it’s just around the corner!

I would like to say thank you to the parents that helped out on The Chip Shoppe delivery and the Blast Party. Also, I would like to thank the kids and parents who participated in the PTO fundraiser. Mr. Medlin was turned into a human hotdog on November 20th at Community Time. Students who sold 20 items or more drowned him in mustard, ketchup, relish, hot dog buns, and cheese. The students that sold 30 items went on a Hummer limo ride with Mr. Medline to eat lunch at Pizano’s. Students who sold 10 items were able to come to a Blast Party with bounce houses. The PTO raised $10,200 from The Chip Shoppe! We will use that money for school landscaping, iPads, headphones, school shirts, and other student needs.

*IMPORTANT REMINDER*

There will be a meeting December 10th at 7 pm in the library to discuss if we will be having a carnival this year. We need a minimum of 20 people to help with the event. If you can’t make the meeting but would like to help with the carnival it will be April 27, 2013. Please call Tina Tuter at 833-1521 before December 9th to volunteer.

PLEASE COLLECT BOX TOPS/Soup Labels:

Winner for November Box Tops was Mrs. Bennett’s Class.

Enjoy your Popsicle Party!!

Willard Central classes compete monthly to earn points. It is easy to participate and help earn money. All you have to do is cut out Box Tops. If your child brings them to school ready for submission, they are worth double points, but they must be cut out in the PTO classroom contest. The winning class wins a POPSICLE PARTY!!!

Please visit http://boxtops4education.com for cutting instructions. For soup labels they have to have the UPC code for the vendor to accept them. We use that money for Coach Brown’s equipment and other items.
